What’s included

  • Museum of the Future stands on Sheikh Zayed Road in Downtown Dubai, a 77-meter stainless steel ring designed by architect Shaun Killa. Rather than displaying historical exhibits, it is built around a set of experiences imagining the year 2071. A visit typically takes about two to three hours.
  • The exterior itself is worth studying before you go in: the torus-shaped shell is made from 1,024 individually cut stainless steel panels, engraved with a flowing Arabic calligraphy of quotes by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
  • Inside, the museum's seven floors, spread over 30,000 square meters, are arranged around themes of space, nature and wellness.
  • You move through exhibits on space stations and a DNA library, an area devoted to ecology and future spa concepts, and hands-on installations you can touch and interact with rather than simply view. An internal viewing platform partway through the visit gives you a closer look at the building's structure from within.
